With only 5 days until it kicks off, What nation will be crowned Champions of Europe?
Altough you would consider France to be favourites (as I do), I'm going for Italy to win it. The European heavyweights will have revenge on their minds following their golden-goal defeat to France in the final of 2000 and this time I think they can go all the way.
The Czech Republic are not a bad bet either. Event though this will only be their third major tournament, they go to Portugal with a fearsome reputation. Two defeats in their recent warm-up games ended a fantastic 20 game unbeaten run, I have them down as a semi-final contender, possibly runners-up. (But wouldn't it be GREAT if England won it?)
What do you all think?

the mighty ORANJE (Holland) will win it. i know they got beat by the Irish the other day, and i know they aren't really in great form at the moment, but i still think that they have a world class team, and can beat anyone on their day.

Id like to think England can go on and win it but we will have a tough task getting through the group stage, then in the quarters we will probably have to play Spain or Portugal. I think we need Michael Owen to be on form. I think Sven should play the diamond but with Butt playing infront of the back 4 rather than Lampard.
Honestly though I think France or Portugal will win it. Portugal are the host and it is time they won a major tournament. A lot of there players are probably at their best now and it will probably be their last major tournament for some of them. France are the obvious choice, they are 1 of the 2 best sides in the World, they have the best player in World in midfield, a man who seems to be able to get the ball stuck to his feet. He also has the best touch in the World. I am talking about Zidane. They also have another chap who I have heard is quite good called Henry. They have got a dodgy keeper though. Shame England aint got a big man upfront who can win things in the air.

How come no one is tipping Latvia? I read with horror today that it is 11 games since France last conceded a goal going back to last June. Everyone keeps only going on about their attack!

Be funny if it was a Latvia vs Germany final then! ;D
Annoyed to see the players bigging up the event already before the first game. Owen has said "It is a travesty if England don't win Euro 2004" whereas the French aren't looking beyond Sundays game. I know which approach I would choose
