Thats sounds like a topping idea Graeme unfortunately as far as road games go there is only really Sheffield with any nearby watering holes. Basingstoke do have one but it is often better afterwards. That said I remember some people lobbying for the coaches to leave the Skydome an hour or so earlier than previously (Would you be able to make them on time PW?) for people to stretch their legs, go shopping or to indulge in favoured past-times as evidenced on this thread. If enough people were to positively back such an idea I'm sure it would be at least looked into for viability. Obviously the onus would be on people not to go over the top. But IF it were to happen we coould produce a best pint/best pub league table from all those visited. Could be fun and if spread to other teams could lead to some friendly meets prior to matches in the future. I have a dream nay a Vision!

I meant in Coventry - when I was @ Uni we used to do the Gosford run! from the burgess to binley road - but a lot of the pubs have closed down now - still there's enough variety to make it worth it

I have trouble getting there five minutes late at the time they leave now-an hour earlier and I'd be well and truly screwed... As for the pub crawl-an excellent idea. The way certain members of the Blaze fan fraternity go, by 9 pm it would be a 'crawl'. Perhaps a meet before the Cardiff home-game would be appropriate-or indeed any away trip...

Sorry Graeme I misread your post and got carried away.
I think just before the first home game would be bonzer as they say down under.
Dunno when would be the best time to do it though. There is still a version of the Gosford run but probably not that advisable. If everyone was suitably attired we could do one round the town centre as there are probably over a dozen to choose from
Who's gonna organise it?

What about (as it's known to myself and my uni friends) doing the Spon Street Special? This actually starts in Broadgate-Lloyds to Yate's to the Courtyard to Wetherspoons to the Town Crier to Spon Street to the Skydome, having gone in every pub, club and bar in between for one drink...
