Jody Lehman will miss tonights first leg of the Challenge Cup Final due to his wife going into labour.
Best of luck to the both of them on the new baby!
To the game: Massive boost for the Panthers, big loss to the Steelers.
Who do we want to win the Challenge Cup then?
I'm going to say the Nottingham Panthers, i've always preferred the Panthers over the Steelers.

To be honest I'm going to struggle to even bring myself to check the score, I am so so gutted its not us in the final. Fair play to Panthers and Steelers though, they both deserve their places in the final, I'v always prefered Panthers out of the two but I'm not really that bothered, may the best team win. Shame Jody is missing out, that could cost his team dearly.

gutted just gutted.
if we'd have played in the 2nd and 3rd like we did in the 1st we'd have beaten them
It just wasn't meant to be... but it's the worst feeling in the world losing to the panthers

I mean look at the Blaze, we've overcome the odds on many occasions.. Keep the faith

Last night's game was quite good to watch and interesting at the end when Ryan Shmyr tried to mouth off at the Steelers bench after his goal and spent the remainder of the game watching at the exit for away teams (remember I live in Sheffield now!).
Well done to Davey Lawrence who really tried last night, it must not have been easy being thrown in during a final match.
Jody and Raquel had their little girl last night after the game had finished by the way and she is called Layla Lea Lehman and was 8lbs 11oz.

Ellis didn't tell our lads that lehman wasn't going to be playing because he didn't want to let it effect the team and they go all out attack which sometimes does lose us games. Panthers should be stable for the second leg thought, sit back and defend, rotating 5 or 6 defenders (Neilson, Pelletier, Meyers, Nelson (New Player), Stancok and maybe shymr) and then counter them. I am fairly confident we will do it.

It does make a change for teams other than Coventry and Cardiff to be in with a shot of Challenge Cup success for once
