Has anyone read the Steelers forum "steeltalk" recently.
They're are calling Mihalik the most hated man in the EIHL, not only that they have the nerve to compare him to Sacratini in the winding-up of players department. A Giants fan posting on the site went as far as to say that Pavol will be a marked man next time we play! In my opinion Pavol just gets stuck in, take his hits & dishes them out as well, I've not seen anything dirty about his style of play. Is this just more people jumping on the "Blaze are a team of goons" bandwagon?

I have never seen the guy use dirty tactics yet, but then again when we have played you he hasnt been the wind up merchant Sacratini is either. Solid D man though quiet on sunday but i have been impressed on his other showings

I am disgusted and this, he’s a brill player I cant believe people can say this. I am shocked and disgusted. How can he be the most hate man, this doesn’t make sense, call me bias, I don’t care, this is disgusting.
"Blaze are the team of goons" look at the others, the panthers bringing in ex nhlers who will be there "enforcers" and they will go out and fight. London has a player per line at least who is sent to fight. We have a team full of true hockey players who can balance fights with goals. Payette he can score goals and fight, he’s got to be the best player "goon" in the league. I haven’t been so outraged in ice hockey so far!
This shows who can take loses in the game, we lost against Cardiff, we move on, don’t complain about the calls made or what ever may have caused it, Cardiff where the better team on the night and they deserved to win.
Mihalik played FAIR and VERY WELL so far this season, I have noticed that he’s been 'picked on' I admire his determination for this, he gets back up and gets his revenge, he may check them, take the puck round him or what ever. He’s a real gem and a pleasure to have in our team.
Looks like people thinks he’s a walkover because of his size but he proved them wrong, very well. I say bring Sheffield on

It is a kind of compliment in an off beat way as if they are marking out pavol the rest of the team will have a bit more freedom.
And as pointed out The Pav backs down from no one

I'm sorry but please take off your sky blue glasses and realise Mihalik is no angel.
The guy is a niggly player who whilst not particularly dirty does annoy other players by use of his stick. He winds opposition players up due to this, not always as much or as well as Sacritini does at times, but you can see the effect he has on opposition players.

The thread on the Steelers forum indicates that they and a few Giants fans are mightily perturbed about him.
IMO he is a physical version of what we had with Andreas moborg a few years back who was one of the best sledgers I have ever seen in verbally winding up oppo playres

i can see he is a annoying player to be marking you but i can also see that he is playing fair , hes gets punished for things he does wrong you can see this by his PIMs

Just cause the ref doesn't see it to call it doesn't mean its a clean play. A lot of stuff goes on behind the play that the refs don't see and isn't fair, but isn't penalised. |

A lot of calls are based on reputation though and Pavol seems to have got one in record time

He is going to get some extra special treatment given to him the next time we play you's because he slashed and high sticked one to many the last time we played  .I don't think you are a team full of goon's.But i think there will be some bad blood next time we meet and i hope Payette stick's up for him as he should so Mel can have some fun  |
