Apparently the Devils think so much of their nearest and dearest that their commemerative cup winners t-shirts bore the legend "I'd rather be a winner than a chav" Personally a part of me does find it witty as we were very quick to gloat last year but others have seen red- pardon the pun- at this banter.
What does the peepulation think?

It is very witty and I just wish there were some jokes I could think of about the Welsh.
To be honest it really doesnt bother me though and nobody won everything this year.

I think it's quite offensive.
I can think of a retaliation quote but I really shouldn't post it.

To be honest I think not letting it get at us ensures it blows over quickly and this time next year we could have our dominance over them back In a way it is similar to how they started the whole "Jody is a girls name" etc which we countered in the WNIR following a win with "You got shut out by a girl" Maybe we could respond likewise once more to show we're not affronted

With what? "You got beaten by a chav"?
That would just cause more trouble-and Blaze fans would turn on their own. Which would be unthinkable, surely?

Personally it bugs me... Not because I'm a chav, not because I find it particularly offensive, but just because the club, a supposed professional organisation, sees the need to have a dig at another team's fans rather than concentrate on such a big win. I find it pretty sad really. The Blaze fan= chav thing has been around for a while and it's not original, particularly funny or in good taste. A fair few Devils fans have said they wanted something to commemorate their team's win but got put off by the childish slogan and kept their money in their wallets. I know that I'd rather have a piece of merchandise from last season making a big deal of the trophies won, or, as I did get, a playoff shirt to remember that awesome victory, rather than a t-shirt with "I'd rather be a grandslammer than a sheep _____" (farmer, obviously, before someone gets their knickers in a twist ). It's cheap and unnecessary If the fans had produced a few shirts worn amongst a group of friends to gloat about it, fair enough- it's still not witty or inspired but at least that'd be a mis-guided few. The main problem I have with it is that the club produced them. If they wanted to put "first leg 3-0 Blaze and we still went on to win" then fine- I have no problem with them rubbing in their only trophy win for a few years but it's the cheapshot at the Coventry fans by the club that gets to me...

It appears as though a number of units have been sold. I'm guessing they will be gleefully displayed at our next contest. I'm guessing the way to deflate it if offended is to not react as that's the whole purpose

Sorry i thought the t-shirts were done by a group of fans and not a 'professional' organisation.
What does speak volumes though is that Cardiff thought a dig at us was print worthy instead of just being happy at winning a trophy for once.
Maybe its just an inferiority complex the Devils have?

Exactly, it's like at their greatest moment they still had to reference us because we mean that much to them. Can't argue with that really
