Calling a Russian a German might still be a hanging offence. Just dont mention the war. And viz a viz PW there's a bit of French in there too. A one man league of nations one might say ;D The last version I have of NHL is 2004 although I prefer to pick the teams, tactics etc and sit back and watch....it saves the thumbs a bit

Your ok with Germans as long as you arent Turkish.
2004 was good but 06 is a huge improvement

I am hoping to snag Chara, Murray and maybe Elias after the Stanley.
Try getting Marc Andre Bergeron from Oilers, he is great.
Fluery is on the game and he is excellent

Well after being successful in the league so far with the trades i've made a couple of more trades, mainly for my 4th line: Dave Andreychuk from tampa to play on the 2nd line, traded for arnott who wasn't performing. Jarko Ruutu from the canucks to play on the 4th line Scott Nichol to play on the 4th line and darcy tucker also to play on the first line. to play on D also prought in Jaroslav Spacek my 4th line before the recent trades were very weak in worrell, brigley and Kuleshov. the last time i checked they were all -6 i think, which i could do without in getting the trades shown above this has strengthened my team and has brought in more depth and cover. I must tell you though get Drury and Gionta on the same line together they link up brilliantly and are both scoring a brace most games. the speed they have got with the passing of andreychuk has been brilliant but get drury and gionta together, they are awesome

Ive just got 73 penalty minutes in a game, can anyone top that. I decided to slash Fluery for all my worth but the ref didnt see that, I actually got him five times on the head and then scored.
Two more games to the playoffs and some trading.

Yesterday I was busy playing EA Sports NHL 06 and a got called for a penalty. The other side pulled their NM and the puck went into their goal. I am not sure if it was hit in by one of their players if if it hit my skate first. Should this have been a goal or not? The game allowed the goal and the other team got a powerplay from it which I scored shorthand on. The last bit isnt relevant but I was just showing off. Just an addition to this, under NHL rules the goal would stand, however if it had been in a blaze game, under the International rulebook that we use it is no goal, the non-offending team cannot conceed a goal on the delayed penalty. Davetheblaze - A mate of mine got 83 minutes in a U16's game in a single incident. 2+2+2+2 (Roughing) = 8 PIM Misconduct (Roughing) = 10 PIM Automatic Game Miscounduct (Roughing) = 20 PIM Gross Misconduct (Travesty) = 20 PIM Match Penalty (Kicking) = 25 PIM =83 PIM. ;D

83 PIMs, did you know Payette when he was young?
I have a couple of Bruins games on DVD which have some stupid PIMs in.
I cant remember exactly how many but basically everyone on the ice gets ejected, 12 players in all for a single fight.
I havent played hockey yet so I have no PIMS but I did cause a rugby game to be abandoned.

Kung-fu kicked the goalie and then started on the rest of the opposition. sounded interesting, didn't like that team then back on topic, just won the stanley cup against the leafs, you know i was talkiing earlier about getting gionta and drury on the same line, add palffy to that, the chemistry is 100% and their speed just destroys the defence and that line has been so important for me this season

Palffy is good and Gaborik os also pretty quick. Mr Fluery is really fast if you want speed. If you want all round class go for Yzerman.
Ive now got my team how I want it other than a few tweaks.
