If you were in Thommos shoes, would you play the vulture with the carcass of the Racers?
If so whom would you bring in and whom would you replace?

I dont think it's acting like a vulture signing up the Racers players to be honest- the team wanted to get as many of the guys off to other teams as possible, so I'm sure they're more than happy with all the interest they're getting in guys like Cornish, Baker, Kudrna, Robinson, etc.
onto the "who would you have" bit- as mentioned on the "more rumours" thread, if there were no wage cap or work permit issues, I'd bring in Robinson for Lefebvre and keep Belak up front.
Baker is a decent player but can't think of anyone I'd cut to sign him...
Getting one or two of the Brits could be a good move, but havent really noticed how good they are. McGrath is pretty much a waste of space but having Foord or one of the British d-men might not be too bad

Yes I would, you have got to be ruthless in sport, and take advantage of anything you can. Having said that, I don't know who I would bring in, or even if I would bring anyone in, because I don;t have the knowledge to make that decision.

Id bring back Kaz, fix Hutchins and put those two up front with Belak screening. Not sure how many goals would get scored but it would be a great line to watch.
Out of London I cant imagine Thommo bringing anyone in.

Robinson for Belak, Dalmao for Mihalik, and Baker for (gasp) Hutchy. The last one, however, would be subject to Hutchy's injury actually being season-ending. Would also add Jason Hewitt for Lee Richardson and Mark Thomas as 6th d-man. Matt Foord would come damn close to getting a roster spot also...he can play anywhere but goalie, and has impressed me whenever I've seen him...

Can't fault PW for his recruiting on the whole. Not 100% sure on Dalmao for Pav though. Hutchy if fit should not be replaced though....especially as I have finally got the shirt

well looks like the mark thomas idea is out the window too as apparently, according to sheffield radio, he has been signed by the steelers until the end of the season, and i would have really liked him in a blaze shirt

Cov aren't signing Dalmao, Robinson's signed, Foord is signed, Thomas is signed, Richardson won't get replaced as he's probably playing for a free pizza from Pizza Hut each week and Hewitt would want at least two or three Hopefully Hutchins will be back in the team soon and will make a big difference and Baker is strongly rumoured to be following Thomas, Maxwell and Robinson to Sheffield Doesnt look like any changes will happen for the Blaze to take advantage of the London situation Shame, but right now I just want to get the team back to full strength with Tait, Cowley and Hutchins back and fit

There is no way I would drop Belak Why? No player is invulnerable... You give me the reasons why you'd keep him, and I'll give you the reasons why, if a better person (which I happen to think Robinson is) I'd chop him. I'm just curious to see why Belak inspires such a passionate defence from people whenever I mention replacing him?

I just happen to think Belak has made a good forward and also is pretty good in defence. He checks hard and can fight and is about the only physical player we have left. In my opinion dropping Belak would be a mistake as I thought dropping Kaz was a mistake.
I might consider dropping someone else but not Belak.
