Play Off Format

Thought this might be interesting (or not):

This season the top 7 teams in the league will automatically qualify for the playoffs with the team in 8th place facing off against the team in 9th place in a one off game with the 8th place team having home advantage.

The 8 teams will then split into two groups of 4, playing eachother once home and away with the top 2 in each group going through to the Play Off Finals Weekend.

Seems a bit of a mix and match of previous formats.

Whilst I enjoyed the 4 matches against each other format of last season I felt the problem was that it was not spaced out enough.
Playing twice against each team isn't always as good to get a good series going.
I would prefer top 6 in play offs. 2 groups of 3. Twice home and away but with the play off groups spread out a bit more
