Great Britain are set to play against France (host nation), Israel, Hungary, Japan, and everybodies favourite nation Germany...........
All set to take place in Amiens, next April sometime.
Anyone think that they'll make the effort to go to this?

Wouldn't mind going although it all comes down to money, as I have got a European Tour with Blaze to fund for the up and coming season plus the annual trip to Belfast and I also plan to go to Germany for the football World Cup next summer.

It would be so funny if a bunch of us were walking through some French town chanting away like we did in Nottingham ;D Would do wonders for Anglo/Frog relations

Depends on cash and availablity. Fortunately Amiens is fairly easy to get to I did a map quest, and it tells me that it is only 306.85 miles from my house. Thats just about the right distance for me to drive!! I work that out to be closer than going to Fife, and i drove there so it is definately do-able.

The only problem i see with it is that the Amiens Gotheques ice rink only holds 3200 people, will there be enough room for everyone who wants to go??

I guess so as they wouldn't be allowed to host it if the organisers thought otherwise Actually, yeah if i'd thought about it i would have seen that for myself.........apparently the Germans will bring 300+, The French would probably be in excess of 2000, Hungarians would probably bring about 200, The Japanese wouldn't bring many probably 50 at a push, and i couldn't see Israel having many hockey fans, so probably another 50 there..........that would make about 2600+ fans, meaning that there would be about 600 left over seats for us Brits, which would be plenty.

Bet the French get nervous when 300 Germans start marching through their town ;D Half of them will hide underground whilst the rest will swap sides ;D

OOOOH, Harsh but true.........this group is almost a bad combination - Germany and Japan (axis) Britain and France (allies)....

Britain and France make very uneasy allies though, remember Agincourt, Napolean, Citroens, Delors, Sasha Distel, eating horses (and snails), piat a dor, Allo Allo and many other reasons to have the French match as the one we most want to win In fact I'd want the Germans to beat them. GB to win the lot though

Lee, do you think you will make the trip? I'm still thinking whether to go or not - cost is the main concern.
