...in a game which sees the Phoenix take on possibly their most vocal and terrifying opponents-the players' parents. Yes, some of the people who turn up to watch the Phoenix week in, week out want a piece of the action... as the parents (plus guests) take on the girls. It starts at 6:15 this Sunday at the Skydome, and a laugh is guaranteed...

Rumour has it that the 'parents' team has a few guests playing for it.... ;D Now that, I didn't want to post in case it hadn't been confirmed-however, since the Chairman of the Phoenix has mentioned it... The names I have been told are none other than Pavol Mihalik and Graham Schlender...and, although I'm still waiting for the invitation, I wouldn't say no to reprising my Chaos role (third-line winger who falls over a lot) either...

I thought it was 8-7 to the Bambis.... Still-was HUGE fun to play in, and score in...twice . The main comment from the parents on the bench, the majority of whom had never even skated, let alone played hockey before, was 'Bloody hell, this is fun, isn't it?' If the Phoenix enjoyed it half as much as we did, then a high old time was had by all. It must be said, though, that without Luc Chabot and Pavol, the score could have been very different-particularly as the Phoenix came back from 8-1 down to 8-7, and may well have equalised in the last few seconds, even if there were 3 pucks on the ice at the time And there was a good crowd there-I estimated around a hundred and fifty or so... All in all, a fine way to spend a Sunday evening
