So the IIHF World Champs took place this week. GB fared as follows:
17/04/05 GBR 0-2 POL 18/04/05 NOR 8-3 GBR 20/04/05 JPN 5-3 GBR 22/04/05 HUN 0-3 GBR 23/04/05 GBR 10-0 CHN
So we finished fourth in our group, ahead of Japan and China. Not too bad really. The game against Japan sounded good, with our own Ashley finding the net and getting 2+2 amongst many roughing calls.
Norway beat China 25-1 ;D

I'm assuming China finished last and were relegated. But who came top and go up a group for next year?

yeah Norway got promoted, after 5 years away from the elite group. Also in the other group Italy got promoted to the elite, with Dundee's Christiano Borgatello in their team. Just thought i'd let you know!

Ahhh the good old IIHF website and it's make it up as we go along attitude. Well it's supposed to be sorted by: 1.Points 2.Results between the teams. 3.GD between the teams 4. GS between the teams 5. Overall GD 6. Overall GS etc. etc. Who knows eh! Saying that the IIHF website has a reptuation for being wrong, most famously reporting that the London Knights had won the Continental Cup... when hey had actually finished 2nd
