..Is the National League coming apart? With the Bees now up for sale, with the real possibility that no-one will come in and run them, what future for the rest of the BNL if one of the strongest clubs folds, and Fife are, according to various forums, not exactly being welcomed into the EIHL with open arms? It seems that the egos of some in the EIHL and BNL are now being called into question, with Steelers, Panthers and Blaze at the forefront of much bad feeling from BNL clubs. Do we think this summer will be a nasty one what with the potential loss of Cardiff, Fife, and Bracknell, and indeed all the BNL clubs bar Edinburgh and Newcastle? On the plus side, Greg Owen will be looking for a job...sign him up!

That would actually be better than Guildford in the EPL-whatever else can be said about the Flames they are a stable club, with a solid fan-base and an arena that's no worse than Lee Valley-also would likely benefit from the demise of London by soaking up those who may, in the worst case, have no team to watch in the capital, particularly if they sign some ex-Racers. Plus we'd get to beat them four times a year instead of just twice

And British Ice Hockey is in such a strong state that we can all afford to bitch and complain and not worry about the big picture isn't it.

In my opinion it was the seeds sown by a certain party refusing Sheffield entry to the BNL which brought about the demise of the BNL. Once Sheffield and co decided on the Elite League plan and took 3 of the old BNL with them including the previous years play off finals 2 the writing was on the wall. A case of As ye sow so shall ye reap

Agreed. As soon as the Blaze and Devils (Bison meh) left the BNL it was doomed. It's a shame, as it was a great league when we were in it!
I do hope we will play the likes of Dundee and Fife next year. And Guildford.

You'd be on here now screaming that the EIHL let us in. Time to draw a line in the sand and move on. Petty bickering is NOT going to help...
