Next years play offs- Much more forethought

Next year in the play offs will see a different format to what we have had before

The top 8 will go through to a knock out quarter finals where,
1st will play 8th
2nd will play 7th
3rd will play 6th
4th will play 5th

These will be a best of 3 games following the experiment the BNL has done this year with their semis and final.

The 4 winners will then play a weekend with the highest placed team in the regular season playing the lowest ranked in the semi.

Could be much better than this year but I would prefer the 1/4s to be best of 5

What does everyone else think?

Could work but it will be less games than usual in the playoff. If the quarter final games are best of three who will have home advantage in two of the games? Is this deffinatly going to be the new format?

I'm guessing it will be the highest placed league team keeping towards the set format in this years BNL and the NHL

You're saying this as fact? Come on, nothing has been decided for next year's playoffs yet has it?

I don't think I've ever seen Blaze play in the play-offs where there hasn't been a group stage... it would be interesting to see how a knock-out tournament would go.

If this going to be the playoff format, hopefully the other competition the Challenge Cup has more games in it than this seasons did.

Some were more subtle and believable than others.
I actually thought the "Red shirt" one was more subtle than this one.
