Matthew Haddock and Phil Butler were both junior players at solihull and were team-mates in the Birmingham team whicje junior B league some years ago. Both now in thirties, matthew was diagnosed with testicular cancer and Phil with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and both have recently undergone surgery. Both are expected to make full recoveries. They are both very grateful and want to give something back and have organised a charity Hockey Game at Solihull's Hobs Moat Road rink on Thursday 14th July, Face Off 8pm the game will be between solihull barons past and present against a midlands select team, with proceeds going to hospitals and wards they were treated.
