Sheffield Steelers announce that following recent events the position of Enforcer (Often known to the family as Daddy) is now vacant. The previous occupant Mr Doris Dion Darling is rumoured to have claimed "After previous seasons I could paper over the cracks by making out I was this big tough guy not to be messed with, however this year there have been nasty opposition players who actually attempt to make me back it up which just isn't cricket, and way beyond my capabilities anyway" The owner a mysterious Father Christmas like benefactor is claimed to have said "Did we actually pay him for that then?" Offers have been flooding in from as far across the board as Wakefield and Matlock as would-be enforcers stake their claim. However the as yet un-named favourite has stated that as long as being the new Daddy didn't interfere with his schoolwork (Starts secondary school in September) he would be happy to give it his best shot.
Apparently the decision was taken before a few hundred Blaze fans burt out laughing at the pronouncement of Mr Darling as the Daddy at Saturdays easy win for the visiting team ;D although the reaction must surely have accelerated todays news.
