I'm just interested in what differing ranges of fandom we have so have some questions for short answers.
1. How long have you followed/watched hockey? 2. When was your first game, who against, what was the score? 3. Did you follow/watch any other sports before hockey? 4. Do you watch them any less these days? 5. Do you own a replica shirt from your team? How many? 6. Do you attend non-game functions? (Bowling/Racing nights, Parties at Xmas and End of Season) 7. Do you travel away? (Regularly, sometimes, or never) 8. If yes to the above, what means of transport do you most often use? (Car, coach, train etc) 9.If your team was no more, would you still follow (If not be able to watch) hockey? Who would you support? 10. Do you watch either Juniors, Womens or Rec matches? (Always, sometimes, never)
Thank you

1. How long have you followed/watched hockey? Probably about 10 yrs now, originally NHL, then more recently British Hockey. 2. When was your first game, who against, what was the score? December 26th 2001 (i think?) against Hull Thunder and we beat them 6-4 3. Did you follow/watch any other sports before hockey? Football was my number 1 sport, but it plays second fiddle to hockey now!! 4. Do you watch them any less these days? Yeah, i only check results, whereas before i used to watch live matches and all the highlights. 5. Do you own a replica shirt from your team? How many? 1 Away (Blue) Tait shirt from BNL winning season, and an Away (Black) Belak shirt from this season. 6. Do you attend non-game functions? (Bowling/Racing nights, Parties at Xmas and End of Season) I haven't as of yet, but i do plan too. I've just had other things going on! 7. Do you travel away? (Regularly, sometimes, or never) As Regularly as i can, i try and make rinks that i've not visited priority. 8. If yes to the above, what means of transport do you most often use? (Car, coach, train etc) I normally drive there myself, as it works out cheaper than the coach, plus i can have as many breaks as i need. If i was heading to Dundee or Belfast i'd use the transport put on by the club though. (Yes, i also drove to the Scotland weekend in November) 9.If your team was no more, would you still follow (If not be able to watch) hockey? Who would you support? I'd still follow hockey, but i wouldn't be a devout follower of that particular team. I'd try and share my time with all the local teams (Solihull, MK, Telford, Peterborough, Nottingham etc.) I'd still go to as many games as possible. 10. Do you watch either Juniors, Womens or Rec matches? (Always, sometimes, never) I normally always go to the Junior matches (home) occasionally the rec games and (once) to the womens matches

1. How long have you followed/watched hockey? Probably about 3 years now. 2. When was your first game, who against, what was the score? December 26th 2001 (i think?) against Hull Thunder and we beat them 6-4 3. Did you follow/watch any other sports before hockey? Football was my number 1 sport before hockey, but not anymore. 4. Do you watch them any less these days? I still watch most the games, but sometimes it clashes with hockey, if the rink has a bar, then i'm in there on a break (i.e Nottingham) 5. Do you own a replica shirt from your team? How many? 1 Home Shudra shirt from BNL winning season, and an Away (Black) Payette shirt from this season. 6. Do you attend non-game functions? (Bowling/Racing nights, Parties at Xmas and End of Season) I tend to make most of the 'non-game functions' didn't go to the bowling or racing night. 7. Do you travel away? (Regularly, sometimes, or never) (Regularly), I've been to every away game this season apart from Belfast away (going soon though) Basingstoke (2nd time) i went the first time and London as i was working because it was a Friday. 8. If yes to the above, what means of transport do you most often use? Coach 9 times out of 10, but sometimes my good mate Andy takes me. 9.If your team was no more, would you still follow (If not be able to watch) hockey? Who would you support? Yes most probably, i'd prob get down to MK or even Solihull (if i was driving by then i'd go to a good few games around the UK) 10. Do you watch either Juniors, Womens or Rec matches? (Always, sometimes, never) Too busy at away games for the juniors, never to womens and the odd 1 or 2 rec games. HOPEFULLY i'll be joining the rec team, if i get the kiti'm after - fingers crossed peeps!

1)I have followed Ice Hockey for around 9 years now 2)My first game was the Solihull Barons V The Blackburn (Something) Can't remeber the date but I think it was 95' (I was only 5 then!) We won though and I've been watching since, my first full season of watching was the season we had a brill rivalry with swindon (amazing games all of them) 3)I sort of followed football since I was 4 4)I very rarely watch football anymore (just international games) although I have started watching a fair bit of Rugby. 5)I own this seasons away shirt and own a game worn ... Martin shirt from way back (I think the shirt is the same as the one shown in Thommos Book... or at least it looks very similar) 6)I have never attended a non-game function (although one open training session and Luc Chabots testimonial...I still have a puck from it) 7)I regularly go to away games in Hull (Have family up there) and my first game outside of Hull was the scottish weekend. 8)------------------- 9)If the Coventry Blaze folded I would probably go and watch Solihull. 10)Have never watched a Rec/Womens/Juniors game (can't be bothered w/ the 30-45 min trip to Coventry let alone getting home)

1. How long have you followed/watched hockey?
Roughly 12-15 years.
2. When was your first game, who against, what was the score?
Sheffield Steelers vs Durham Wasps, back in the days when the Sheffield Arena was an awesome place to watch hockey and had the best atmosphere bar none IMO. Sadly no more....
Think it was 94/95 season, Steelers won 6-3 and the attendance was about 8500.
3. Did you follow/watch any other sports before hockey?
Coventry City FC, Warwickshire Cricket and the occasional local Rugby.
4. Do you watch them any less these days?
Rarley go and watch the City, but that's simply because it's far to depressing to watch a bunch of players we don't even own play for the club.
5. Do you own a replica shirt from your team? How many?
Quite a few Blaze shirts about half a dozen and of course one Phoenix top.
6. Do you attend non-game functions? (Bowling/Racing nights, Parties at Xmas and End of Season)
When i can yes.
7. Do you travel away? (Regularly, sometimes, or never)
Used to travel to virtually all Blaze away games, now i come when i can but the only games i've managed to attend away from home is the Challenge Cup Semi-Final/ (will be) Final.
Also travel to all Phoenix Fixtures home and away.
8. If yes to the above, what means of transport do you most often use? (Car, coach, train etc)
Car/Coach.
9.If your team was no more, would you still follow (If not be able to watch) hockey? Who would you support?
Of course. It's the greatest sport in the world bar none.
10. Do you watch either Juniors, Womens or Rec matches? (Always, sometimes, never)
Obviously watch Women's. I do watch Junior and Rec when i can.
