According to some Blaze fans, Tasker isn't happy in Newcastle and wants to return to the Blaze

Can't see it happening, he left Blaze to play for Newcastle as it was less travelling for him so he could concentrate more on his business.

Would we want Taz back? Don't get me wrong I was a big supporter of him when he was here, the top I wore last year was a home Tasker. However towards the end of the season he looked disinterested, he wasn't giving the 110% he always gave, more like 30-40%. I even heard him say towards the end of the season "this Elite league is just to hard" to Shuggy. If we could have the fired up Tasker of old I think he would be an asset to the club, but unfortunatley I think that Tasker has gone.

Doesn't matter anyway at the moment, Thommo isn't going to sign an injured player now matter how good they are!

As great a guy as Taz is this would surely only be a backwards step as he wouldn't get a spot on the main lines at present

I think taz would try and come back, but i really don't think he's good enough at the moment, if you look at the forwards we have now, they're real strong. I don't think he really stood out against the blaze anyways. Apparentely he still rings thommo after a blaze game and asks them how they've got on, cus' he still feels like part of the team....

Taz and Thommo are old mates which probably accounts for the phone calls as opposed to any requests to return

I would love to see Taz back but Cannot see it happening myself, he did his bit for the Blaze and we all thank him for that. If he leaves Newcastle i think it would be time for him to hang up his skates and reflect on what good hes done for hockey and i hope he gets his game to reward him for every thing he has done

I second that. Has he enough years on the clock to warrant a testimonial somewhere? It would be a popular one.
