It appears as though the Panthers drew 2 apiece against Milan Ahlroos got the first in the first and held on until 49.21 when Milan equalised Kalmikov then restored the lead at 50.21 Milan equalised for a second time before time ran out. For some reason they both took 5 penalty shots and Kalmikov hit the winner in a 3-2 scoreline for the pens
Craighead was ejected early on for fighting and got a match penalty
Well done Panthers

A good result, but it would seem they paid a heavy price as both Moran and Tvrdon are out for a few weeks with injuries sustained during the match.

So with two wins and a draw (But a penalty win over Milan) how did they not win out? Can someone list the final standings please

HC Milano (ITA) - 5 pts (2-0-1) GF15 GA4 ============================= Nottingham Panthers (GBR) - 5 pts (2-0-1) GF6 GA3 HC Amiens (FRA) 2pts (1-2-0) GF4 GA7 HDD Olympija (SLO) 0pts (0-3-0) GF2 GA13
If teams are tied on points:
Result between the teams (tie) Overall Goals scored. Milano on 15, Panthers on 6.
Final Point, the penalty shots only come in if everything is tied. Why they bothered in the first place taking them is another matter...

Thanks anyway at least it clears it up. I read today that in Milanos last game against Olimpyja that the opposition iced their back up goalie to give Milano a chance to rack up a big score. Guessing Moran and Adey are spitting feathers about it

I felt sorry for the panthers,undefeated and to go out the way they did on goal difference at least the rest of europe now know that british ice hockey is no push over and they feel the need to cheat to keep us out

Maybe this season would be a good one to bring back the inter league cup thingy or whatever it was called. Seem to recall we did rather well in our game as a BNL side against Trondheim

How do they choose, which team goes into the Continential Cup from Britain? I know Belfast were in it two seasons ago. Is it the league winners but Sheffield didn't want to go in it for some reason? Is there any chance Blaze could play in it next season?

Is there any chance Blaze could play in it next season? I think that's exactly it. Sometimes in the old ISL days there were two entrants
