The results of this meting could have major long term implications on the game across the pond which might filter down to us guys in time. One aspect I wouldn't like to see is a proliferation of one-year European guys playing in our league due to NHLers taking spots in the big Euro leagues. it would cause harm to the long term development of British based hockey

Unfortunately i think the lock out will happen if only for a month or so .Not sure on the implications to european hockey it might disrupt this year with early season returnees to the NHL , not sure. Can only hope it can be sorted or else my NASN subscription can go west.

Statement from the NHL from tuesdays meeting
"I can't report that we made any progress today, because we didn't. We asked the Players' Association directly what their response was with respect to the six proposals we made to them, and they were very clear that they're not amenable to any of those proposals, so they've been rejected. Looks like theres going to be a lock out

NASN have confirmed that in the event of an NHL lockout they will be showing 75+ AHL (American Hockey League) games.

They sent it out in their monthly newsletter, but there will be hockey on NASN next season whatever.
In case of lockout they also intend to show more college hockey.

Lockout looms as expected no way back now it would appear. Talks have broken down again no progress made players and owners feet well and truly dug in no more talks planned, oh dear.
