The Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee scored a hat trick Wednesday with the announcement that defensemen Ray Bourque, Paul Coffey and Larry Murphy would be inducted into the wonderful shrine to the sport come November.
Bourque has been selected in his first year of eligibility.
The Hall of Fame also will induct longtime executive Cliff Fletcher, now with the Phoenix Coyotes, into the Builder Category and this was another astute choice as Fletcher has proven to be a smart man when constructing a hockey team.
