ITV1 had a brand new attempt at comedy which is not exactly their forte. Using the universally likeable Liza Tarbuck and Mark Addy is a good effort although I think this one will take a few weeks to develop

What's this one about, roughly? ITV and comedy make me shake with horror, usually.

Yeah ITV1 don't often do comedy. Basically Mark Addy & Liza Tarbuck play a suburban couple who have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary with LT finding out MA has been having an affair with some girl not long out of school ans has fathered a child with her. With her life in turmoil when LT throws him out the series takes a weird twist with her fantasy figure hearthrob being in a coma on the other side of the world yet being "real" to her even though nobody else can see him. There are plenty of auxilliary visual gags abound although perhaps too many in the opening episode. It is on tonight and worth a look as it has some stromg moments

I watched it and you did a grand job in explaining an unfeasably complicated plot. Good watching, althought does anybody else think Lisa Tarbuck just plays Lisa Tarbuck in everything she's in?

Good watching, althought does anybody else think Lisa Tarbuck just plays Lisa Tarbuck in everything she's in? Absolutely. That said I think it is written for Liza Tarbuck and not as her character Helen. But as you note the same thing as Linda Green...and The Big Breakfast
