I went to see this film last Saturday and was laughing all the way through it. In a World where political correctness has gone mad it was great to see a film that didn't take into account political correctness and was just an hilarious film.
Is it true that the scenes set in Khazakstan were actually filmed in Leicester? ;D

I didn't find it all that brilliant, it was funny in parts but in others it was just boring.
Apparently two of the students in it are taking legal action because the scences were not meant to have been shown in america but were & they are now a 'laughing stock'.

I could never really get into Ali G as felt it pretty much a one joke act. Is Borat along similar lines?

I went to see it and thought it was great- but Im also a school teacher and we've had 4 incidents in last week of nasty remarks about Jews- all related to Borat. I know its tongue in cheek in as he is actually Jewish but some of our kids (admittedly it is Wolvo) didnt pick up on that. Shame really cos when I saw it I thought it was class

Problem with kids watching films like this is they are more likely to take the anti Jewish bits etc a bit more seriously and then go and repeat what they've heard in the school playground without thinking it could offend someone. Guess thats why the films a 15.

I noticed that one of them seemed to substitute the Jews in Europe circa 1930s with that of the Islamic hotheads around today.
