Northern businessman Fred Elliott today passed away following a fatal heart attack just before his wedding to local spinster Beverley Unwin. Elliott (67) was a respected pillar of the community and his passing will hit local residents hard. He is survived by a son and 2 grandchildren (Well technically only 1) May his spirit live on.....I say may his spirit live on

Although its sad that a legendary character passed away, I have to say that Monday's episode was very amusing.

I just thought, Fred Elliot has joined a very small list of soap characters to have died of natural causes. Also anyone notice that nobody ever dies on a Wednesday in Coronation Street? Richard Hillman and Des Barnes are the only characters I can think of who have done that.

So, in fact, people have died on a Wednesday? Oh yeh but both them deaths were on a Monday in the show, as they carried on from the Monday's episode. Yes I'm sad for knowing all this but I do. Funniest Coronation Street death of all time. Derek Wilton having a heart attack after being involved in a road rage incident.
