Is it me or is Dragon's Den one of the most compulsive TV programme around at the moment? I've only just discovered it, which is a shame but ...
It's amazing what some people see as business ideas, and what they want the money for, and the approach they take with the Dragons.

I absolutely love the programme (Hence my lobbying when this forum name changed), I love the way they grill and rip apart these blowhards who think they know everything. Due to my own occupation I understand where they are coming from and was screaming at the television the other week with the guy who personally had bought a vehicle but was including it in the valuation of his company. Too many of these idealists haven't a clue how to best run a business and I fear for any who refuse any of the Dragons' expertise even at the cost of such large equity stakes. Effectively with their likes on board their projected return would sky rocket far greater than without.
The first 2 series (Which formerly included Simon Woodruff, Rachel Emlaugh & Doug Richards) were good anyway but now all parties understand the "game" and are much more comfortable with saying what they mean. Messrs Paphitis, Jones & Bannatyne make Simon Cowell and crew look like the Samaritans

The helicopter guy was funny, I also quite like the guy a couple of weeks ago who kept trying to deliever a business studies lecture every time he was asked a difficult question. Mad as cheese!

;D I remember that one.
The one I was glad to see fail was that stroppy woman from last week who held her own shortcomings as other peoples prejudices but they all ripped her to shreds

What was that cricket thing all about? Improves your game, only if somebody bowls a ball that hangs in mid air about 200mm off the ground! Then just as he's about to get booted out he claims he's got orders for 10,000 of the things but is evasive about these orders

To me it just seemed like a cricket version of Swingball The seat belt idea was very good but the poor guy who came up with it is not used to selling himself or his ideas. Still he has two giants to help him with that. With the book review guy as soon as he explained his product I though "Amazon" and was surprised the Dragons didn't pull him up on it earlier. That rather well off lady from the Wirrall with her gardening thing has jumped in to too much secured debt for her to really make that business succeed. Had she gone to the Den in say the first series before sourcing the loans and overdrafts etc she would have had a better shape equity to offer and as such would have made a much more practical bet. If anybody missed it as I believe there was some sort of hockey match on the repeat nest week is well worth catching

Excellent stuff.
Out of all 8 from the start who is the favoured Dragon from those who watch?
I used to prefer the craggy Scot but now love to see Theo Paphitis blast down the ideas of the entrepreneurs

Compulsive viewing, i like the aussie guy.
The cricket ball thingy was shocking but the seat belt clip was genius.
