Tonight on ITV1 at 10 o clock a spin off from the excellent 2001 film starring Ricky Tomlinson in the title role with the glamorous Amanda Redman as his wife.
Should raise a few laughs anyway

Today is exacly 4 years to the day since I watched the film Mike Bassett England Manager.
I think this spinoff will be great because if its anything like the film their will be bags of funny bits.

Nice start with some good gags. Good character set up with the supporting cast. Looks like one to make a date for on Thursday nights

Well the season is now over for Wirrall County in a brilliant series. Cliched for sure but it never went unrealistically Hollywood. More please  |

Quality how they stayed up even though they lost 2-0 because of Mansfield losing 6-0. Similar to the film when England drew but qualified for the World Cup because Luxembourg somehow managed to win.
Hope there is a new series. I missed a few episodes in this series because of work but the episodes I did see were funny.
