Never got round to seeing this at the flicks, but got the dvd and watched it the other night.
Not bad but nowhere near as good as the first one
Alfred Molina is wickedly cool though

I love this film!! More great direction from Sam Raimi too ;D He RULES! Not quite as good as the first one but still great. The Evil Dead "links" were hillarious though.  LOL Hoping to get it on DVD for Christmas ;D |

Didn't agree with the ending of Spidey 2 as it looks like the next one will have the return of the Goblin when there are loads of other Spidey villians. My fave was The Grizzly |

I'm not sure that the goblin will come back yet.
Sam Raimi is gonna leave that for a later director in on of the later films.
Not sure who the next villain will be but it is definatly not Venom. (Unless Sam changes his mind, but i don't think he will)

But the ending of 2 made it look as though Harry Osborn was to be the next incarnation of the Goblin which almost seemed like a teaser

It did abit, but Harry turns into the Hobgoblin in the comic. I really don't think Sam Raimi is gonna bring the goblin back though. Later on in the series maybe, but not the 3rd film. specially sinse there are supposed to be 7 or so altogether. The return of the goblin should be left until the last or last but one. Venom should be aswell.

There's gonna be at least 7? Cool as I thought Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst have both said that the next one will be their last in the roles.
Never read the Marvel comics but used to love the old cartoon series on in the 80s but can't remember too many more of the villians other than Goblin, Dok Ock & Grizzly. Who else was there (And for fun who could play them in a movie)

I have heard of Rhino,Doctor Doom, Hammerhead, The Jackal & Misterio in addition to those named previously
But wow!
But there is enough there to do loads more movies
Gives me an idea for a future thread/game though

There would be enough to do loads more movies but i don't think they would use all the villains because some of them didn't really work, and also they don't want to make too many films and wear the series out Gives me an idea for a future thread/game though Whats that then?? |

I enjoyed Spiderman 2 more than spiderman one. The special effects and story were better, as it showed that spidy was not perfect and was falling back on his work/ studying.
To tie up the storyline, it would be good for Harry to turn into the Goblin, and avenge his father's death. It would be an interesting twist for the Goblin to be formerly Spidy's friend, rather than just another bad guy.
Another bad guy could be introduced to team up with the goblin, but i think that would be waste as he would require a back story. Goblin turbo charged could return in the next film. I don't see Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire doing 7 films, but then the LOTRs trilogy took 3 years to make for the actors, 10 years for the director and designers so anything could happen.
What do others think?

I'm 99% certain that Green Goblin or Hobgoblin will NOT be the villain in the next film, as Sam Raimi has confirmed that Thomas Haden Church will be playing the villian. A recent interview with Sam Raimi suggests that Venom will be the villain   Bad choice!! However there is also a rumour going round that Sandman will be the next villian. Which would be a much better choice. Eddie Brock (Venom) should be INTRODUCED in SM3, so that his character can be developed more before he turns into Venom for the 4th or 5th film. |
