To be honest I've heard different things from different ends of the scale tonight. People are saying he got beat up by one man, two men, and I've even been told he beat up 6 men at once!
I think it's too early to write Payette off.

What a load of rubbish, he won every fight in my opinion (I was there) It all started as he was sticking up for Ash (what he was brought in to do). A real Enforcer, do you even know what one of them is? Andre is like a tin of Ronseal quick drying wood stain, he does exactly what it says on the tin!!!!!!!

so far Payette has lost only the 1 fight to Ewasko and that wasn't much of a loss just lost his balance Ewasko half hit him twice no good blows and then fell on top of Payette. He won his fight against Cardiff, and last night against Bracknell firstly beat Masa then beat Meyers (i think) and beat Wieldich before he cause he was bent over and taking punches grabbed Payettes legs lifted him up and dropped him on the floor before throwing punches to payette whilst he was on the ice.
So out of 5 fights he has lost 1 and that wasn't much of a fight.
And incidently before he managed to get a chance to have a proper fight against Meyers, who asked for the fight by these antics, he had two guys on him one holding him and Meyers hitting him (which is disgraceful and unexcusable), he managed to half break free before another blaze player think it was Martin came in and removed the guy trying to hold Payette. Payette then battered Meyers, and Martin battered the other guy.

Payette didnt fight in Cardiff, Francis got battered by schuller, then Phill manny got the better of pease.
And if your happy with Payette then British hockey must really be in a state because he is doing nothing but hurting your team at the moment.

I think Payette has got to learn to walk away ime all for him getting stuck in and helping his team mates and sticking up for himself but his last fight last night did him and us no favors by getting himself a match penalty which i think gets him suspended for the panthers game.all we will get now is other coaches getting one of their lesser players to have a go and goad him in to fights to get him thrown out what good is that to us having a good player like that sitting in the box or sidelines to us?

well from what i have seen of him i think he is a good asset to the team it just gets real repetative as last season most people agreed we needed someone like him now we have it they don't seem to pleased we have him coz i was looking through the last few additions of power play and they seemed to object to him hitting brit players what diffrence does it make brit or import and they knew what hockey is like and they didn't have to play if they didn't want to

I was at the game last night and Andre Payette was sticking up for the team. He jumped in when a Bees player was attacking Ashley, (what he's supposed to do!) I think giving him a match ban was a little over the top for his last fight, he was jumped by about 3 Bees players and when Neal Martin came in and helped him out he fought with with one of the players who jumped him (Fair enough!)
I don't think you should slag him off, he did was he was brought in to do last night (protect the team!)
As for losing all his fights, thats a load of crap (the only one i slightly consider a loss is the one in B'stoke) but only cos he lost his balance and was forced to the ground by lanky!
Bottom line: Lay off the guy!

I think that some of the fans need to realise an enforcer sticks up for his team mates regardless and gets in the face of the opposition and winds them up, Andre does this very well. However I do think that Giguere35 has a point about lesser players goading him and getting him ejected. The referees have obviously been instructed to single him out for unnecessary penalties. I was at the Basingstoke game when Andre only had to look sideways at one of their players and was put in the box, meanwhile Ewasko lumbered about the ice getting away with mayhem. ( As an aside when Graham defended himself against this he got 2+10 !!! Could this be anything to do with Carson being the referee at the Cardiff bench brawl when he got censured by the league ?? ) Andre does now need to be a bit more selective with his roughing, unlike Ewasko he is a good player who we need on the ice more than in the box
