OK if you're a sweaty old man then fair enough, you might have a glance at them when there's a break in play, but other than that nobody really watches them.
Anyway, thats not my point. The point.... WHY do people call them cheerleaders? The American dancers at American football games - they're cheerleaders. Do the girls at the skydome lead cheers? No. They're dancers.
So people need to stop calling them cheerleaders.
I'm glad I got that off my chest.

i call them a waste of space..........because the way i see it is if you remove them and the platforms that they stand on, you then have more room for seating! simple as that!

If they were unavailable for one week would it spoil anyones entertainment in the slightest. Fairplay to them that they get paid (I'm guessing) to watch the Blaze.
P.S. They seemed a lot more popular a couple of years ago when their attire was ... ahem how shall I put this...slightly less

To be honest if you got rid of the Crew all the kids that think there all grown up but are really still wet behind the ears will stop going to games as the only reason a lot of them go is to perv on the cheerleaders as they havn't got the bottle or the ability to blag a bird of their own.

nah keep em! I do agree that they don't add to my entertainment value- however they are the best cheerleaders in UK hockey!

well when i was in "the Crew" we were told not to cheer, we were even told off for talking up in the pods... so hence why they don't cheer. Now they always seem to be messing around... it wouldn't have happened in my day!!

The best cheerleaders in UK hockey davey boy? Well what about... um.... well I think its only them and Nottingham, and they're all as bad as each other.
I didn't want the thread to go down this road but I might as well jump on the bandwagon.... they are awful, by the time they've organised which way they're gonna dance the song finishes, and they just stand there and (for the most part, fail to) look pretty.

My Daughter is in the Crew - was thinking of going to watch the Blaze as I have to take her down the Skydome for every match, but after seeing you lot whinging on have changed my mind - these kids give up their spare time (and mine) free of charge, to dance/cheerlead whatever you want to call it, at the request of Cov Blaze. Do they make the game any less enjoyable for the supporters ??

Yes! standards must have slipped because they cannot get down with their bad-selves very well. And we are all entitled to our opinions.
