As it looks like some people are unsure on exactly what the Blaze are playing in this season, i thought i'd do a very quick guide.
League
Each team plays a total of 50 games in the league.
Blaze will play each of the EIHL teams three times at home, and three times away making 36 games.
Blaze will also play the seven BNL teams once at home, and once away making 14 games.
All games score points in the EIHL League table, if it is against say, Sheffield or Guildford.
2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 1 point for an overtime loss and 0 points for a loss.
The team with the most points is declared Champions.
Challenge Cup
The teams for this have been spilt into two groups:
Group A:
Sheffield
Coventry
Basingstoke
Group B:
Nottingham
London
Cardiff
Belfast
Each of the teams will play each other once at home, and once away, however, these games will be doubled up with existing league fixtures. For example Bison vs Blaze on Setember 11th, counts for both the League and this Cup.
The top two teams from each group go forward to the semi-finals, with the winner of that playing in the final. The exact details are TBA.
Playoffs:
The top 6 teams will qualify for the playoffs.
Group A: 1st, 4th and 6th
Group B: 2nd, 3rd and 5th
Each team will play each other once at home, once away with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the finals weekend, which is expected to be held again at Nottingham.
National Cup
There is no National Cup planned for this season. Even though the teams from the EIHL are playing the BNL teams, there will be no formal comeptition based on those games.

Don't know if that is useful!
