The roster is looking good, Ive a mate in Cov and he keeps getting excited about these signings, but then I remind him of this little story
2002/2003 season, Nottingham and Belfast was down to win everything that season, and Sheffield was down to not get anywhere near.
End of the season, we collect the Challenge Cup, the League title and get knocked out of the play off semis by Belfast on penalties.
Moral of the story - awards are never won on paper.
Give them a couple of weeks and you can tell if they are going to be in the action end of the season. me personally I hope all 7 teams are in the action end at the end of the season, it will mean we have had a competetive league, with no team being left behind!!

Totally agree with what your saying, on paper they should finish high (whether they do or not) we'll have to wait and see.
It would be great if all 7 teams were in it till the end of the season , in the running i mean. We really need a good competitive league, by all the teams signings so far, it SHOULD be!
Fingers crossed!

To be honest, I would be happy with a Sheffield, Coventry, Cardiff 1,2,3 - just to keep them lot down the road (and a little bit north of your guys) quiet

Damn rite about the SkyDome being like a library. You only had to compare the noise from the fans at play-off weekend to see that our fans are pretty crappy. IMO.
We were getting moved from where we stand in the SkyDome towards the end of last season, because one old man who sits and reads his book during the game (f'real) doesn't like our noise!
I hope all 7 teams are about at the end of the season too. Quite frankly I think it's ridiculous that we have two leagues of not-TOO-different standards with 7 teams each. We could have a well good 12-team league the season after next, the bigwigs need to sort themselves out.
So, these shirts, eh? Have we gotta wait till the first challenge game before we see them?

I think the league will be a lot closer next season. Nobody will run away with the title like Belfast did in the 2001-02 season and nobody will be that far behind at the bottom of the league. The team that misses out on the playoffs will be gutted. I do believe though that while the leauge will be close it will be one of the big 2 who wins it in the end. With all the new signings going on around the league though nobody can be sure what to expect until the first puck is dropped.
As for noise. The B2P can out sing anyone on our day if we work together and put some effort into it. The problem is people that sit there and moan about the noise sometimes. That can make you feel a bit bad when all you want to do is get behind your team and have a good time.

I know what your on about. We have a man in the block to the left of us constantly moaning about noise!!! As for a 12 team league, nah do not agree. I would have teams from the EPL and the SNL involved, therefore you will have constant progression from the lower leagues to eventually the top league. This way, all the teams will be under the same umbrella, however the better teams will be able to thrive and play against their fellow 'better' teams Again all IMO

I see both of your points! Obviously a 12 team league would be better than a 7, but for now i think it's best how it is. I agree the EPL and SNL should get in on the action, maybe in a season or two?

Dont get me wrong, the current situation is not ideal, but it is IMO the best we can do.
I would like to see a situation where we can have promotion and relegation between 24 clubs (EIHL, BNL, EPL, SNL) which would allow the continuity throughout the ladder.
Not only would it make all the seasons entertaining, but would create a competetive environment for our younger brits to thrive in
Again, all IMO

Sorry to change the subject but speaking about chanting, perhaps we should randomly shout "Woo" at Blaze games as a mark of respect to Ric Flair and his mate Eric Bishoff from WWE who don't like noise at the hockey.
