'The Steelers wish to confirm that late of Friday evening they were advised by coach Mike Blaisdell of his intentions to remain in Canada next season and become assistant coach of his home town team the Regina Pats.
Mike has put forward an offer to remain as part of the Steelers organisation as director of player personell and assist in the recruitment of players and a coach for next season, the club is presently considering this offer.
Steelers owner Norton Lea said "whilst we are dissappointed by Mike's decision we can assure all Steelers supporters that we will work around the clock to ensure that Mike's replacement is the best man for the job.
We have already received names of potential candidates and interviews will commence shortly.'
OH MY GOD !
Rumours are already starting with 'Rocket ron' seeming to be fancied as new coach.
Been on the steelerstalk forum...they seemed to be stunned about it
