something that whiskey mentioned in another thread got me thinking.
has anyone else got any ideas of some new songs for the new guys?
the only thing that i can think of so far is for Pavol Mihalik.
"He's fast he's quick, He's quality with a Stick, it's Mihalik....Mihalik" (surely you all know the tune i am aiming for!?!)
obviously we will have to wait and see if he IS actually quick and good, but i reckon thats a pretty good effort for a provisional song.
any thoughts?

me, king rich and wheeler were talking about this last night, in the tesco staff canteen. it will be hard to think of songs for the slovak's with their 'dodgy' names, but I'm sure we'll have a few.
A good initial effort thou Malkit.

I'm sure if there were any Slovaks reading they would be offended by that last comment!
What rhymes with Vrabel? Except dabble.

thats a point. is Vrabel pronounced Vray-Bell, or Vrah-Bul, or something else??

Because I'm stubborn as, I would pronounce it Vrah-Bul and not change, even if it was wrong.
I imagine it would be Vrar-Bul.

It will be good to have some new songs, I have a feeling there will be a much better atomosphere at the Sky Dome next season so not only will new songs be being sung but new people will be singing them.
I have a song for 1 of the Slovakian's but I am not quite sure if it will work. Depends how you pronounce his name.

How about Andre Payette to the Steve Gallace song as its immensly catchy and seems a waste to let it go after only one year.
Another one to resurrect could be "We all dream of a team of Mick Vrabels" should prove more popular than the first version at least.
Could Dan Carlson have the old Super Taz one
It's just finding the right tune fo the syllables of the players

I know what you're saying Whiskey, but it could be good to get some different tunes in for next season.
I don't like one for Vrabel.... maybe if we get a real donkey next season we can use it for him as a sarcastic chant, as before!!

True but some tunes are classic.
Would love to hear a chant for someone based on the Pigbag tune. Have heard versions by West Brom and Crystal Palace but it's a tricky one to scan. I think it can be done for Andre Payette by just repeating it twice in a loop

As a tester coming home from the testimonial meal I had a go at We all dream of a team of Mick Vrabels & Andre Payette to the Tom Hark tune (Last years one for Steve Gallace) Both got over pretty well.
I had thought of a chant rather than a tune for Dan carlson along the lines of one COv City fans used to do for Brian Kilcline (For those old enough to remember him)
Still trying to find the right scan for a player for Pigbag though

After a long absence, I couldn't resist this topic... What about 'Hey Mickey' for Michal Vrabel? Or is that just asking for trouble? I did think of David Bowie's Starman, with the words changed to 'Vrabel, there on the blue line...' but I'm stuck from then on. As for the Pigbag one...'Thommo's got some brand new Slovaks' perhaps? For Alan Patridge fans, whenever Carlson scores just shout 'Dan!' as loudly as possible, over and over again, for about thirty seconds... And, of course, with the signing today, there's always 'SCHUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEELLLLLERRR!' in the Wayne Rooney style...

Thanks for the welcome... Have you not seen the classic episode where Alan's in the carpark trying to get the BBC producer (Dan's) attention, and he keeps walking, so we just see Alan shouting 'Dan....Dan!....DAN!....It's OK, I'll catch up with him later....DAAAAAAAAAAN!" 'He and his wife are successful-they both drive Lexuses...actually, Lexi' Genius.. Probably only about 5 people actually understood that joke-if any. Anyway-I reckon the Steve Gallace song can be adapted for Andre Payette-although I'm trying to work out something else...we need a song planning meeting on the first away trip
