It makes sense the reasons that there isn't as much noise at home games now! Maybe a new block should be re-dedicated to try out new chants?? I don't really watch many NHL games but I did watch the Spengler Cup and Under 20s - the talent on the under 20s was amazing! The best one was Canada v USA, Eberle (Canada) equalised with 5 secs to go and pushed it to overtime!! Canada won on penalties. ;D After last nights game, looks like Calder has gotten through his rough patch and I agree that he wears the C for a reason!

To be fair though it would have taken a greater effort o not have beaten Hull last night. This year we are losing too many ogf the bigger games which are almost counting as double pointers.

I guess it could just be a team confidence thing though - against bigger teams there must be more pressure because they are more hyped up, a lot more to play for etc Hull have some brilliant players though so even though they are lower down in the league they can still be dangerous!

Wednesday will be the acid test against probably the best pure playing team in the league.

I have said many times recently that hockey nights at the Skydome arn't as entertaining or enjoyable anymore, but I really enjoyed last night's game. Blaze picked up a comfortable win, an angry Tommy Watkins had a fight and for anybody who still wasn't entertained, JD managed to get the crowd dancing away to YMCA during a long break in play. Reminded me of the BNL glory days and why I got into hockey in the first place.

I agree with Legend, last night was a good night, a good win and an excellent confidence boost for the team. AC/DC were starting to show the flair of last season for me. Yes, Wednesday is going to be a test, but Hull can pull off upsets and they are a good team. Last night I feel could be a turning point in the season. We will be there on Wednesday cheering from Block 5!

Was a bit disapointed to hear the abuse a woman in Block 12 (I think) was giving the Blaze players at the end of the second period last night. I'm not condeming it as Blaze wern't great and anybody who has paid to get in has a right to express an opinion but it was disapointing all the same.

What was said? Did she have a fair point? Basically just shouting at the Blaze bench that they are an embarrassment. I fully understand the discontent amongst Blaze fans at the moment, but imo she was having a go at the wrong people and going about it the wrong way.
