It's finally been made official, the Blaze have signed Carlyle Lewis- www.coventryblaze.co.uk/news_latest.php?id=269I really rate this guy and his points show he can play do the business, in pretty good leagues. As a fight fan, I rate him as easily one of the best fighter in the league, maybe just behind Brett Clouthier as top dog. I think he could hold his own with the likes of Mel Angelstad. Playing in the skydome will bring out the best in him as well, as he is a huge hitter and the small rink will benefit this part of his game. Really happy with this signing.

A few of the Bolzano fans are loving this signing too - he was a little bit of a fan favourite in Bolzano during the one season he played there.

How did you get chatting to Bolzano fans then Lee?
Are they looking forward to seeing the Elite League Champions?

Accidentally(!) started talking to one of the Bolzano players on facebook - then things just snowballed from there! They seem a really friendly bunch and are really looking forward to hosting this tournament.

and i think he will play a similar part as payette did in grandslam year, looking forward to seeing him play as when playing for giants last year he didn't look too bad, had a great slap shot on him and of course he can use his fists.

Totally agree with comments that he could be the new Andre type player. The buzz he created has been missing for a bit. Hopefully Lewis can do the bizz

Lewis will do the business. He won't be quite as much an entertainer as Payette, but IMO is a better player and fighter.
