I will be honest and admit that was a much tougher game against Fife than I was expecting. But the boys kept at it and the 2 points overtime win is great. And Cardiff dropped a point to London.

guess it was exciting for those that were there. And Cardiff dropped a point after being two goals up. The elite league is 4 points (i.e. 2 wins) away. Hopefully we won't even have anything to play for in Belfast.

I hope we will have something to play for in Belfast... a draw and a win against London would be nice.
I had a feeling early on the game that we would win in overtime, having gone behind. Up in Kirkcaldy we were pushed hard against Fife and both times they could have easily come away with the win. Big ups to the Blaze for sticking with it, and with the silverware presentation tonight, that can only show what we can do and what we're playing for.

It wasn't the best of performances tonight but we can forgive them because I am sure that some of the lads will have picked up knocks from the Cardiff and Nottingham games. Full credit to Fife they pushed us all the way. In the first period I felt that out class was showing and that when the first goal went in more would follow. Fife scored first though and that set up a really good game. After Wade's winner tonight I believe that I am right in saying that two wins against London would make us champions.

I thought the Flyers were a very impressive team. I think we struggle against small, quick teams who do not rely on toughness. Well done Flyers, i would rank their performance 2nd to Belfast as the best away performance I have seen at the Skydome this year. Their Netminder was absolutely brilliant, so small, but so agile.
I think we probably need 3 points from last four games. Belfast are at home twice to Cardiff on Thursday and Friday this week. Two points each for them will need us needing just one more point. If we can get a point at London on Tuesday, then we should be there....

Well the general consensus is that the Fife fans loved the match. The trip down was a long one and not exactly pretty (there were things happening on the bus that I'd rather not mention ) It's a pity we didn't get any seats though as they had all been sold off to home fans, due to a missing email or two....i don't quite know the whole story with the mix up but the end result being that we were all made to stand except those with kids (the ones who got there early and had seating tickets gave them to the Fifers wi bairns!) and we were told at the ticket place that we would get to stand in the stands, but were shunted oot o the way for the cheerleaders. When we were stood at the glass, anyone not at the front could hardly see the game and only knew we scored when abody else cheered! Overall i could hardly see myself, but i saw enough to know that Flyers played well, but Coventry's speed and skill ended up edging it. Stevie Briere was typically excellent. Good reception from the home fans though, and a nice arena. Good amount of fans as well. What did everyone think about the conga?! I was fourth(ish) in line with a giant hat on!

When you started off the conga I knew you would be in there!
Gotta say, third best away fans to visit the SkyDome this season, after Dundee and Belfast. Bit of a rubbish compliment but there ya go!

Very tough game in which the Flyers fully deserved their point. Their passing was very crisp at times much as ours was 24 hours previously.
Good noise from the Flyers fans too as nice to see oppo fans have a bit of fun with their conga. If only more would be prepared to have a laugh and let their hair down.
Briere once again proved his mettle although he seemed a bit shorter than I remembered him for some reason
