...next month! Hey guys, I'm Russian, AKA The Crazy Russian AKA Siberia for anyone familiar with the Fife/Edimnburgh forums. Thoguht i'd pop on an see how crazy you guys down there are! So are you ready to be invaded by us soon? We are all really looking forward to it, we have two busloads confirmed already and countless cars. It should be fun whether the Flyers win or lose

If your anything like the Dundee fans it will be great having you at the Sky Dome. Hope you don't find it to offensive me comparing you guys with Dundee. I know there is a bit of a rivalry between the three Scottish teams. Anyway enjoy your trip, and although I have never been to your arena I have been to Scotland many a times and you Scots are the friendliest and most welcoming people I have ever came across.

I look forward to the game against the Flyers and hope it proves as good as the thriller we had in November in one of my favourite rinks. Hope for the same score too in a Blaze win

Agreed, if the home game against Fife is half as good as the game in Kirkcaldy then it'll be one to watch! Looking forward to a good atmosphere with this large number of away fans!

The look of it so far is that there will be a fair amount o Flyers fans making the trip.
You couldn't exactly call FIA an "arena", RJH, it's more of a barn or big shed ;D Great atmosphere though!
I am really looking forward to coming down to the Skydome, and will see you all in the bar with at least a hundred Fife fans!

Firstly, Welcome to the Blaze forum 'Russian' hope you carry on posting, i don't think we have any other Scots posting on here.
Secondly, i'm looking forward to the Flyers v Blaze round two, if it's anywhere as good as the game up in Kirkcaldy, then as King Rich said, it should be a cracker!
Go on the Blaze!

i enjoyed being verbally abused in Fife, it certainly made a change to the normal family atmosphere that i've experienced at ALL the other rinks that i've visited. Really, this is not a dig, i actually enjoyed it, it made me realise how lucky we are at the 'Dome.

Really, this is not a dig, i actually enjoyed it, it made me realise how lucky we are at the 'Dome. I've heard far worse at other rinks/arenas than from Fife

Pray, do tell.
As a native, i have went to the same rink ever since i was a youngster, about 5 years old, but have never heard the away fans get verbally abused except in rare incidents, and for the last three years have sat next to the away section.
Not doubting your honesty, just interested!

incident #1, on entry to the rink 3 youths with cider in hand gave us a mouthfull of what can only be described as filth.
incident #2 during the game we were shouted at repeatedly and i was actually kicked a couple of times by the guy who was stood behind me. (i was sat on the back row).
incident #3 some big guy was stood right in front of the exit as my brother, my friend and I were walking out of the rink at the end. we said 'excuse me' and he gave us a dirty look, said 'yeah, you'd better f*****g excuse yourselves' and slowly moved out of the way.
As i stated before, i am not actually moaning about it. You said you wanted details and this is what i've written down for you. I was merely saying that this has only happened to me at Fife, and i've been to all of the EIHL and BNL rinks apart from Belfast and Bracknell (including both Ally Pally and Lee Valley). Still, it hasn't put me off from visiting again, i just hope we are all in the same league next season so we can enjoy it more!!

Have to agree with the above post. So far out of every rink i've visited, which is every BNL/EIHL excluding London and Belfast - Fife has been the worst for abusive fans. It won't put me off going back, because i love the Scotland weekend - but it does put a slight downer on you're weekend when you hear that kind of rubbish for near enough a full game. I'm not slating the Scots by the way, because i'm half Scottish and proud of it, just telling it like it is.

I am genuinely very (ahem...) ticked off about that I love the banter with away fans, in shouldn't be like that up here. If i see anyone doing naything of the sort, i will refer them to security, though it may nto do mcuh good as they are part of the problem up here apprently. I hope to see you all in a unified league next season, and hopefully we can sort out the abusive idiots who threaten to ruin the game's enjoyment P.S. Slash rocks!!

Some of the stewards at other rinks seem to revel in their "power" a bit too much. Can't say I noticed it worse at Fife
