oooh kewlio, so they dance at ice hockey do they? It's a ice hockey term to describe fighting, two people holding onto each other and moving their feet, hence Dance. It's used by NHL commentators all the time.

The game was marred by the Panthers fans deciding to slow clap when one of our officials took a blow in the face from a puck.
Wanna know more see the games thread on the elite league forum.

I hope the panther fans are proud of themselves for the slow hand clap given to night after our john was caught on the head with a puck and needed medical attention. Well done to Mr Hanson for stoping the game while this happend. to me this just proves what they are really like and they had the cheek to have a go at Blaze fans earlier in the season

Hi, just wanted to say I have registered with this forum specifically to apologise to you the Blaze fans, and the guy on the bench who got hit by the puck for the disgusting behaviour of some of our fans tonight who slow hand clapped when they felt the game had been delayed too long.
Many of us were totally appalled by this.
I am sure it sounded like it was a lot of our fans doing it, but I think maybe some got carried along with it, but whatever the reason it was totally out of order.
Please don't tar all of us Panther fans with the same brush. On our Cage Forum there are a lot of posts from people equally disgusted.
I just hope the guy is okay. Well done on your win,
Cheers Lammy

Nice to see that Andre showed he's not a goon by putting in both of the Blaze's goals tonight. That's one part of the 4 point weekend complete, bring on the Bison for part two

I'v been hearing all about the game from my brother and most of what he is saying is the same as what is being said on here. Apparently Blaze played very well. As for the slow hand clapping from the Panthers fans apparently the announcer attempted to encourage them to stop so fair play to him I guess.
My only complaint is that if you look at Teletext 547 it says that Blaze lost 1-0 and Belfast won 1-0. So it isn't only the league table that is unrealiable but results of games as well.

it seems that we are very popular in panther land judging by some of the comments being made on the cage forum this is from a thread about an altercation between security staff and a panther fan...seems we are to blame for that as well... hmmmmmm

Taken from the cage forum YorkshirePanther I think this whole thread is un-necessary. The man who was sat on the Coventry bench (sat on it, not stood behind it) was there because he wanted to be. I don't for one moment think Paul Thompson told him to sit there, right at the front. He probably wanted to be right there at the front to see the action. Well he did. And like they say, keep your eye on the puck at all times. He should have been taken out straight away and got the medical attention he needed and the game re-started. Had the puck gone into the crowd and hit any one of you the game would not have been stopped. Play would have continued and you would have had a fussy blue-coat come to your aid then given the appropriate medical care OUTSIDE THE GAME. How long was the game stopped when Kim got attacked by Payette? I fully expect to get flamed for this but I stand by what I say, if you sit on the bench, be it as a player or a kit man or whatever you take your chance. I hope the guy's ok and maybe he'll just stand behind the bench next time. I would like to know what this person is on and if he was one of the mindless clappers --------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah I think that any of those who are keeping quiet or trying to defend what happened were probably clapping. I also think that an official getting hit with a puck is different to somebody in the crowd getting hit, and that it was dealt with differently was the right way to go. Was it Steve Small that got hit?

No, it was John Crooke who got hit with the puck.
