Bringing some people with me to the Dome on 23/12. We are getting a mini bus and going for beers before and after. The plan was to go to mbargo 1st before the game but where afterwards?
Want somewhere that is not completely dead and will play a good mix of music indie, dance, chart etc. And not too many chavs (Im from dudley so I can cope with a few!!!). Needs to be near the dome too as we are getting the minibus back around 11 and then a late night curry in Duds. Thanks for your help, feel free to join us for a beer to, you wont be able to miss us 9 people with black country accents and me with my mockney suffolk twang!!!

I'd probably suggest Chicago Rocks or Old Orleans.

Old Orleans is the popular choice for Blaze fans pre and post match.

You've also got JJ's although thats more of a night club so it doesn't really get going until late. You've also got a few bars round the corner on Spon Street.

Why not walk past the from of the cinema until your get to the mediveal street (Spon Street) turn right and just up there on the left is the Windmill. A proper, but small, slightly scruffy pub that serves proper beer. IMO much nicer than the bobbins bars like Mbargo and the Orange House.
Just a thought.

Yeah, the Windmill! Proper beer house. Mbargo, which is attached to the Skydome, is mean't to be really expensive. There were complaints about the prices on the EIHL forum when it first opened. Needless to say, they ain't seen my cash. ;D

Mbargo is expensive but can do some good deals from time to time (you just gotta know when lol)
I just stick to Old Orleans, not the cheapest either but not a bad bar by all means!
