This is so sad. He was a bit of a loony (although very entertaining) and I'm surprised something like this didn't happen sooner, but he was a great conservationist and he did wonders for Australia Zoo.

He was only on telly yesterday, obviously on a show that was repeated but still.

its been said, that his family wish to show the documentary he was filming, and how it all happened, will be interesting for how many people will now have a fear of stingrays.

Apparently in his last TV interview before he died, he was asked what his favourite kids TV show was. He said that he loved Thunderbirds but always had a special place in his heart for Stingray. Cruel but I bet you all still laugh.

Haven't heard whether or not ITV1 will be showing any programmes in memory of one of the worlds most popular entertainers of his genre.
