I like thunderstorms... they clear the air and it's really nice to go out just after its finished for a ride or a walk or something. Also it's really cool to watch the lightning.. I sound like a little 6 year old lol.

the storms weren't boring yesturday, they were loud and flash (aha) it got really dark and had to turn the lights on. it was quite scary really. i wonder whether it improved things on the water shortage front, probably not. this is england after all and it was just a day of rain. the most hot weather we have had in recent summers and we run short of water. talk about preparation. water fight anyone?  |

the storms weren't boring yesturday, they were loud and flash (aha) Our storms are boring compared to what they get in the Americas and the Pacific. Proper storms not just a bit of rain, noise and light |

I agree, are storms here are pants!
In Africa, they're so loud and a little frightning - the lightning is massive!!
It's strange, and at least you get a warning for the rain, especially when you're sat on the beach.. one minute it's over 40Degrees and then the thunder and lightning comes then the rain - and lots of it.!!
Crazy - But fun!

well we aint all lucky to go on holiday! so this weather is fine by me aslong as i dont have to move,walk or run im happy! talk about thunder i was abit drunk but wednesday night no rain no thunder just flashes looked like someone was taking photos:s got bit scared! but they must have been ghost flashes as i tryed to record it on my phone n nothing happened:s spooky

Bring on the next heat wave we are supposed to be having in August, I just hope that today is nothing to go by as we have more chance of catching a cold than a tan with all that rain. Spesh if you have gone to work dressed for a sunny day!! :s

It didn't rain where I was today though so that was alright. But still need the sun to come back out so I can top up my tan! |

I so wish I could tan.... No i just have to have a naturally high resistance to the sun... a by product of when i was younger and was v sensitive to the sun... Sigh... I suppose i'll remain pale and interesting yet again...

I've been out in a field for 3 1/2 hours in two seperate storms today with no shelter waiting for some stupid people to arrive and try a couple of horses, and they didn't even turn up!! And I slipped in the mud and fell on my wrist which was just about getting better and now its got worse again! I want a heatwave, and I want it now! |

Another brilliant thunderstorm at about 3.30 this afternoon , cracks of thunder loud enough to loosen your fillings.
Not much fun if you were out in it though i am sure,
