How many people will be going to any of the music festivals this summer? I'm looking at going to Download (Guns n Roses headlining on the Sunday) ;D

IF I can afford it (and find someone who fancies making the trip with me...here´s an open invitation) I´ll celebrate the end of my time in Germany by going to Rock am Ring at the Nurburgring (like Download, German style) in order to watch, amongst others...Metallica, Depeche Mode, Guns N’ Roses, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, Deftones ,Keane, The Streets, David Gray, Kaiser Chiefs, The Darkness, Lacuna Coil, Alice In Chains, Cradle Of Filth, Bullet For My Valentine, The Subways, Taking Back Sunday, Secret Machines, 36 Crazy Fists, Trivium, She Wants Revenge... I really, really hope I can find the 130 euros...I need a companion though...it´ll be my birthday present to myself.  |

For a hundred and thirty euros, including camping-say 200 euros for the weekend (travel and food), with the World Cup games live on the big screens as well? Erm...yes, please. Wondering if I can take a week of near-starvation in order to go... Shame it´s right in the middle of Katie´s exams, otherwise I´d be inviting her... Still, I´ll be envious of people doing their GCSE´s, A-levels and uni exams, if I go. Oh, wait. No I won´t. You´re welcome to come, JP...I´ve got the language skills, you just enjoy the music...  See if we can get all the Blaze rock fans there in a group...Blaze hit Rock Am Ring... Download looks pretty damn good as well... |

Very interested in your invite PW. When is this Rock Am Ring Festival?
There are at least 10 bands on that list that i wouldn't mind seeing, about 2-3 that i'd love to see Live.

2nd-4th June. I´d have to get there from Aachen, which could be fun..
Surely there must be others who fancy it as well...build the group..
I´m seriously, seriously thinking about living on crackers for a week..

i really wanted to go to the Reading or Leeds festival this year, but i can't believe it got sold out..
I'd love to have seen Placebo and Muse.. (being my favourites..)!
Hopefully gonna be going to the download festival though - yay!!

Ebay will be the place i get my weekend pass from. If you keep an eye out, you can actually get some reasonable prices for a weekend pass and camping/parking.
What bands are you looking forward to seeing, if you do go?

i'm looking forward too...
funeral for a friend, trivium, bullet for my valentine, all american rejects, G nR, metalica.. theres a good few gonna be there... ;D

GnR, Metallica, Funeral for a Friend, Bullet for my Valentine and The Prodigy are all big bands that stand out for me. To be honest though, i just appreciate Rock....so the other bands i'm sure will be awesome!
It'll be an amazing weekend.

How about the Arrow Rock Festival in Holland this year with : Deep Purple, Status Quo, Whitesnake, Journey, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Ted Nugent, Uriah Heep and John Waite, on Friday 9 June in Lichtenvoorde. will give you the link to this 2morrow, can't seem to find it now  Im getting my ticket asap whoohoo!! I'll be in rockin heaven yesssssssssssss!!! |
