Have you started/finished your 2005 Christmas shopping yet? I usually do mine about a week before Christmas, unless it's for someone extra special...then i usually look around a bit earlier.

no i haven't started yet. I have to ask people what they want. I couldn't leave it to the week before christmas..hectic shopping centres aren't nice. Mum likes talcum powder and bath stuff, my dad wants a book, my brother john wants a dvd. erm not sure what my grandparents or my brother mark want. Not forgetting that December is a busy month for birthdays. So more presents to buy for.
has anyone started yet what sort of presents are you buying?

I'm usually prety late getting mine done. I usually near enough know what I have got to get though. Beer for my dad, Quality Streets for my Grandad, shortbreads for my Grandma, socks for my brother, leaving just my mum who is fairly hard to buy for but I always find something. Believe it or not though I once brought presents for all them people on the 24th December and my brother had already brought some of the stuff for them that I planned to get, so I ended up rushing round and buying some prety unusual presents. The most unusual probably being the toothbrush holder that I brought my Gran.

Will just have 1 or 2 days off work where I will go into town or Birmingham or someplace else and just blitz buy. What I don't get then I won't bother with.
I hate shopping at Christmas as all the ditherers come out and block the way- fortunately I'm 6 foot tall and weigh 200 pounds ;D
Why do people always panic buy when the shops are only closed for 48 hours?

I hear the Furby home shirts are still available...
I donĀ“t Christmas shop. Or, I do, but I do it in one go, in about two hours, some time the week before.

Well it seems I'm the only organised person on here then as I tend to start mine about mid-November but normally start looking around at the start of November. I already know what I'm getting about 6 people...

I used to start writing my christmas cards about now but I don't do them anymore because I used to send about 50 and only get about 20 back, now I would only send about 20 and get 3 back if I'm lucky. People don't appreciate a card if there is no money in it.

some people expect cards though if they know you... i have thought of buying a box of cards and writing them as i see people. Its the thought that counts even if they don't write back. at least i made the effort.

Looks as if i'll be missing the trip to Cardiff on Saturday and going Christmas shopping instead. Well, i'll at least start on Saturday, i won't get it all that's for sure.
How about everyone else...
