I think we're lucky we had Nigel tonight. For our second goal we definitely had at least one player in the crease. Boniface handled the game well tonight, only calling the blatant penalties (which in the first period were down to the blaze) Best example was the high stick to Darling. Yes it was high, Darling was trying to milk it that he had a cut to his face but it clearly hit his helmet. Good call.

I would make an amazingly valuable contribution to this thread but inbetween leaving the skydome and arriving at home I've managed to forget pretty much everything that happened tonight. Oh I do remember standing in the queue with those nice Sheffield peoples behind us who were helping us plan a riot......or something like that....I definately remember a riot being mentioned

Blaze played well tonight, we were deffinatly the better team in the first period despite going 2-0 down but I am getting very worried about the amount of silly penaltys we are giving away.

Great game played at a good pace. Sheffield harried and put us under pressure but we were able to respond with kind. Last year they would have buried us but we have moved on and improved. Thought going into the last period we would win. Peron and dutiamane played well for them and dan and adam for us. thought wade looked a bit preoccupied myself and had a quiet game.

last nite was a cracking game, both teams played well... but i thought the steelers number 72 jess christian was a disgrace he was looking for trouble all night but when ever payette and belak wanted to go he skated off, his stick control was terrible... the rest of the steelers team played extrmely well an ur number 14 sorry i dont know his name (the guy who came back from italy) was brilient.
the blaze played well but we just couldnt convert the chances.

Very tight, tense and exciting game. Jeff Christian was a muppet though. Nigel Boniface hashed up the first 20 minutes but then handled it well in my opinion.
Atmosphere from the home fans (Block 2 apart...obviously) was much improved as well with chants coming from several areas
