Well it started today when he came back from 2 sets down to win his first round tie. It wasn't a cruise but he got there in the end. Well done Tim. I don't think he will get past the quarter finals to be honest but we can live in hope. It really annoys me when I hear people slagging him off calling him a faliure because he has vertually single handedly carried British tennis for the past 10 years. So he hasn't won a Grandslam title but if it wasn't for Tim Henman a Brit getting as far as the semi final at Wimbledon would be laughable. He has done it 4 times. Is he really such a faliure. No it is British tennis that is the faliure. Tiger Tim is its only success story of recent times.

People go on about it being way too hyped, but I enjoy the hype, and sometimes it's good to make a fuss over something.
Come on Tim.

He is a great tennis player on his day, but he isn't consistantly good enough to win something like Wimbledon. You never know though.

Don't really follow tennis as find it hard to watch. Don't mind seeing Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournikova and Serena Williams though

Shame Greg Rusedski has been knocked out early again. It was a cracking game between two of the fastest servers in the game. David Sherwood got knocked out too although I don't know nothing about him. So Tiger Tim and the up and coming young Scot Andrew Murray are our last hopes.
Also it is very disturbing that Chief has a thing for Serena Williams. But hey whatever floats your boat.

Sorry to double post but this thread might as well be either locked or have its name changed to "Murray The Invincible Jock's Quest For Wimbledon Glory" When Tim came back from 2 match points down to break Tursunov's serve I really believed he was going to do it. He showed so much guts. The thing true champions are made off. It wasn't to be though so all there is left to say now is "Come On Andrew Murray". I'll be off to watch him soon although I never watch a tennis match from begginning to end. I usually tune in half-way through the second set.

Hope the pressure on that Scottish guy doesn't get to him as I feel the tabloids have their headlines ready for the boy from the school in Dunblane that saw the massacre

After one or two hours of British Tennis being dead it is alive and well again. Well I don't know about well as its only one guy but deffinatly alive. The timing of this boy coming through couldn't be better because although Tim and Greg have done the country proud over the past decade they are probably at a point in their careers where they aint going to go any further.

She retired to become a model. Fair play to her. She wern't doing it on the tennis caught so why not concentrate on what she does best. Looking sexy.

Henman Hill is dead, long live Murray Mountain! also known as Sharapova's Summit... I believe the correct term is now 'Murray Field'. I do prefer Sharapova's Summit though, although it woud be better if it were called Sharapova's Mount. p.s. Is Sharapova an American Indian name?

Never mind. For the first time in years it looks like British Tennis has a bright future. Well one very promising player anyway. Even though Andrew Murray lost today he showed a lot of potential. I think ultimutly two things cost him today. Lack of experience and his fatigue.
