As an aside to my recent post in "Football" it got me thinking about what is the most boring sports match any of the peepulation here have ever seen.
After tonights debacle I'm struggling to think of one worse. They can be about any sport (Although I'm discounting tennis and cricket as I find them boring as a whole ;D ;D)
Over to the peeps

Iv probably seen worse than this but the one game that came straight to my mind was Coventry City V Norwich last season where Norwich just stuck 9 men behind the ball let City have all the possesion and occasionally caught us on the counter attack due to the pace of Huckerby. City had Suffo and Joachim upfront who had no chance of breaking through the Norwich defence and Norwich were all out to defend, which mean't that there were hardly any shots on goal all game. Norwich won 2-0 and surprise surprise both goals were created by Huckerby. What was worse was I was sat in the East End that day where the old JSB area used to be and it was depressing because that was the area I also used to sit in before I moved to the West Terrace and I had all these memories of that area being packed out and full of atomosphere but that had completly gone. The worse ice hockey game I can think of was probably Blaze V Fife Flyers in the Steve Roberts season. Don't get me wrong I have got nothing against low scoring hockey matches but this was a poor game where the score was 1-1 at the end of normal time. Luckily good old Steve Roberts scored a fantastic winner in overtime to give Blaze the 2-1 win

I think it's agreed league-wide that the Manchester Phoenix are the most boring team to play against. So any match against those guys I think there's been one 0-0 match at the SkyDome since I first started watching the hockey 4 years ago. I might be wrong though.

Can't think of any Blaze double-shut-out-tied-match-ups but can remember a few 1-0 matches as the lowest scoring games. One really exciting such game was at WNIR during the BNL play offs of 2003 (Happy Days) I did see a scoreless game between Belfast and Sheffield in the ISL play off semi final but the penalty shoot out added to the excitement. I do remember B2P proclaiming that last years 1-0 reverse to Manchester Phoenix (Yep Rich you're right) as being as dull as listening to John Major recite the telephone directory though

Going down 5-1 to Basingstoke last season Slighty off-topic....most depressing match I've seen when Newcastle 2-0 up and ended up losing 4-2 to Villa!! Just for you Whiskey who delighted in texting me straight after the match!!
