Yeah wake up Steph, we won't be the team that ends Arsenal's unbeaten run in the league, some other team will before we get the chance. We'l just be the next team to beat them at Highbury or at their new stadium ;D What if you play their reserves in the Carling cup or somat?

Arsenal maybe on course for half a century unbeaten but Brian Clough's Nott's Forest team that went 42 games unbeaten did it with British players. Arsenal are just full of Frenchmen and Sol Campbell yeah fair enough, they were all british.........but so were all the players in the other teams that forest played against! Arsenal's is the greater acheivement as they are playing the game in present times, where the game is faster and better skilled.....and they are playing against some of the (supposedly!) best players in the world!

Agreed with the last post as the game is so much different these days to the halcyon days for Forest. Also look at when each team reached 42 matches Arsenal had about 10 more wins. Watch Villa shatter the record in the next few years

The game was deffinatly different in them days but Forest were the best team of that era just like Arsenal are of this era. Like I said before though Forest did it with British players without the money that is in the game these days and not only did they go 42 games unbeaten but they won the old Division 2, then the Football League and then 2 European Cups. Even as good as Arsenal are and how exiting they are to watch I can't see the European Cup heading to Highbury. By the way I am NOT a Nott's Forest fan by all means. I can't stand them because of the way stewards treat away fans. However, I am a great admirer of what Brian Clough achieved. Even though his main achievments were before I was born. My earliest football memories are of Forest playing Coventry when City won 5-4 ;D when Forest had great players such as Stuart Pearce, Des Walker and the great man Brian Clough's son Nigel Clough. We had a few legends as well such as Steve Ogrizovic, Brian Borrows and Kevin Gallacher playing for us back then.

Just a small point but in 1976/77 Forest got promoted in 3rd place in the old division 2.
Yes they had British players but so did everyone else as Villa and Ardiles didn't arrive until 1978/79.
Also the European Cup was much easier to win then as were their opponents in the final. Malmo a bunch of part-timers mixed with a handful of internationals from Sweden
