After his missed sitter early on Saturday i would pick Gazza Bazza just yet. Shame Lee Hendrie was injured as he could be worth a run. Carlton Cole found the back of the onion bag again for the Under 21s last night.
Anyone see the point of the picked eam tonight as for a friendly what will be found out by players who are safely in the squad who aren't exactly going to bust a gut to prove themselves. Why not green or Robinson in goal instead of Calamity. Try Defoe (Or Carlton) up front.
Seems pointless to me

Now Sven has not got Nancy he has to pick the team on his own and we all know hes not sure what hes doin. Tonights game would have been ideal to give Bazza a run out i know he missed that sitter but shootings not his strong point its his defending we need on the left

Hopefully Sven brings Chris Kirkland on tonight although it is less likley now that the rules have changed so that he is only allowed to make 6 subs.

Woodgate going to Real Madrid, great signing for them, he is a great player and he will really come on playing for them. I am sure that in 2 or 3 years he will be a regular with England.

It's a pity Mellberg & Laursen are Danes

The Woodgate transfer was a shock but I believe it to be a better signing for Ma-drid than Michael Owen. Davenport is a fairly good player. I might take a peek at the Cov vs Millwall match tomorrow which should threaten my unbeaten Sky Blues run

Just got back from probably the most boring football match ever as Coventry beat Sheffield 1-0. Coventry were on the Power play for about 50 minutes after a Sheffield player was ejected for elbows and got a game + match penalty Still at least Villa were winning last I heard

Was it THAT bad Fraid so. Even at only £10 to get in I felt about £20 overcharged. And to think that this would once have been a top flight fixture before natural order took control

City were a bit on the ordinary side on Wednesday as far as the performance was concerned especially as Sheff Wed played with 10 men for the whole of the 2nd half. We got the win though and thats the main thing when it comes to Cup games. Luke Steele, Matthew Mills and Coventry's own Stuart Giddings all impressed me and we did manage to keep a clean sheet even it it wasn't the most exiting game to watch. Good atomosphere in WT6 as well in the pouring down rain.

Did anybody see the goal scored by the Preston goalkeeper today. Good Stuff. I have just been watching Match Of The Day and there were some great goals scored in the Premiership. Four at Highbury for a start, also Patrick Burgar's finnish for Portsmouth against Norwich very impressive although I hate to admit it as Portsmouth are certainly not one of my favourite teams Annoyed West Brom won too . Still fancy the 3 promoted teams to come back down though and I am still standing by my early season prediction that the Premiership Title will be going to Stamford Bridge despite Arsenal looking more than just a decent side right now.

Really amusing to see the Bloos of Birmingham getting closer to the drop zone, but do agree that the three who came up will zonk straight back down. On a relegation theme I notice Cov quite close in the Fizzy pop championship

City will be ok as far as relegation is concerned although I am really starting to doubt Peter Reid's ability. He continues to play the 4-5-1 formation that obviously isn't working and he continues to play Tim Sherwood. Despite having a mare against Ipswich yesterday Sherwood looked shocked when he saw he was being taken off and Peter Reid made a special effort to shake his hand. What does that tell you? Staunton's past it as well. He got turned inside out at Loftus Road on Tuesday, he just aint got the pace anymore. I'l give Reidy the benefit of the doubt on him though because Stuart Giddings is the only other left back at the club and I have only seen him play once, which was against a League 1 club even though he did stand out as being one of our better players that night. As for Joe Dhinsa, he had people giving out leaflets outside Highfield Road yesterday because he wants to buy breakfast for 20 Coventry fans. However, I am sure the majority of City fans can make breakfast for themselves. I would rather him just do what he says he is going to do and put some money into the club.
