We're top of the league having a laugh, top of the league having a laugh. Great win for City today, Richard Shaw what a player. Also I was on TV ;D
Also what about Dion Dublin, went to Leicester City and got sent off.

I too was at the Cov game today. I must be a good luck charm as they never seem to lose when I see them.
I have to say I was impressed with the quality of the play. There was much less of the hoof-it tactics of previous years. Also though Johnson looks like he has good potential. My man of the match was Arca for the Black Kittens. Sunderland will be top eight material again though I'm sure.
Off to The Emporium of Entertainment (Villa Park) next week for the real (!) stuff to begin.
My predictions are as follows
Prem (Heart) AVFC (Head) Arsenal
Championship West Ham (Hope I'm wrong though)
League 1 Bristol City (Watch out for Hull)
League 2 Rushden & Diamonds (Two team advantage over rest of league)

Sorry guys, I've got to take the credit for their performance yesterday - it was the first match I've ever been to!
I was sitting in the North "stand" - trying to figure out what the hell was going on - and then one of the stripey guys hit one of the blue guys, then the yellow guys and the black guy decided gave the ball to another blue guy, he kicked it and it sailed over the other black guys' head... everybody cheered - and eventually the blue guys did it again, so I guess we won?
It's a funny old game - the only thing that made sense was the "offside rule" - and it took a girl to explain it properly...

Can you please buy a season ticket. What and miss the Blaze. I have an even better record at Villa Park so off to get tickets for the Southampton & Nuucassle matches. P.S. any Cov fans getting nosebleeds yet!

I didn't get a nose bleed but I nearly got crushed on Saturday by the guy standing behind me when Suffo scored. He went to jump on top of me but I managed to move out the way and the poor bloke ended up falling flat on his face. All good fun though.

Great win yesterday without JPA, Nobby Solano and dare I say it James Beattie. Carlton Cole looked pure class and the Laursen/Mellberg pairing at the back looks pretty useful too. Nice to see Rodders get a good reception.
Incidentally Both Villa and teh Blaze start their seasons against Hampshire based teams. Here's to a succesful one for both

I was at the Brighton V Coventry game on Saturday. Withdean is a very strange ground. It is an athletics venue, nice enough but designed for athletics and not football just like the National Hockey Stadium in Milton Keynes where Wimbledon (sorry MK Dons) play is designed for hockey and not football. Basically in Brighton the pitch has got an athletics track round it so the fans are really far away. They only have one proper stand and then seats put out like a school assembly. How they are allowed in The Championship with that ground and Nuneaton Borough wouldn't even be allowed in the Football League with Manor Park is ridiculas. Especially as they charge away fans £21 for an adult ticket.
As for the match, prety dull, City didn't play well but still should have won as we were the better team. Stephen Hughes scored a fantastic goal but then they equalised with a freekick from 30 yards out. The game was that dull in patches though that the City fans just played volleyball with a beach ball. All good fun though. There was also a Barry Chuckle lookalike and a Robert Kilroy lookalike stewarding. Im not happy with how City have played so far this season but at least we have picked up some points and are 7th in the league.

£21 for a ticket at Brighton! Has the world gone mad. I paid only a fiver more for a good seat in Gods Stand (Holte End Upper) to watch a proper match. Mind you have to say if there weren't weaker teams in the Prem I would wager on Southampton joining their South Coast neighbours in the Fizzy Pop league before too long
