It is with great delight that we announce the signing of Michael Wales affectionately known as Muzzy to the MK faithful. Muzzy started the season with the Coventry Blaze in the Elite League and was released when the Blaze brought in Michael Tasker shortly before Christmas.
Nick Poole commented on the latest addition to the squad, 'Muzzy and I had many a conversation before he left for Coventry in the summer as I know it was a very difficult decision for him. We wanted him back but he was determined to give the Elite League a shot and I respect him for that and I believe the whole experience will have benefited him as a player and person. It is unfortunate that it did not work out the way he planned but that is sport, and I know he is thrilled to be back in MK and is chomping at the bit to get back into action. He will add additional grit and energy to our team and as every player in our league knows - he is a pain to play against. I also feel he will have matured over the last few months and will have developed even more professionalism as a player. He was involved with a winning team in Coventry and is coming back into a team that is gaining confidence every week and we are very excited to have him back in the squad. There is no doubt we have missed his personality in the locker room as he always brings a positive attitude to the team. I know I am not alone in welcoming Muzzy back home.
We are expecting Muzzy to be icing for us in our next league matches when we take on the Solihull Barons and Bracknell Bees in 9 days time.
