I'm personally not a fan of league games going to penalty shots. Maybe I'm to set in my ways because I'v spent my whole life following football but I honestly can't see whats wrong with good old fashioned draws. I have to say I'm with you on that one dude. I remember penalty shots after tied league games in the ISL (2000-01 I think) and it didn't make it any more fun as a spectator.

As I'm a football fan as well can only agree with Rich and genome.
Whilst a shootout might be entertainment after the match, it can only really be described as staged entertainment. The only time they should be used is to decide a winner in a cup match.

I would agree the league table at the moment is more simple, but I don't think its fair. i completly agree about the fairness point!! there should be a fairer less complexed points system!! what happens if both teams score the same ammount of penilties?? do they keep going all night or do we actually get a draw after the three shots because on the elite league website league standings the isn't a column for draws!!

Guess we keep going. Potentially there may never be an end to the match.

how many penilty shots will it take untill everyone gets bored and leaves because they feel the one extra point simply isn't worth it!!
or what if it does end a draw if the scores are level at end of pens'?? "waste of time comes to mind"
